VS 2005 Runs very slow

I have VS 2003 and VS 2005 installed on my PC.

When I try to edit ot debug a project in VS 2005 , my systems hangs
very often and memory taken by vs 2005 is over 100 mb.

Any reason why this is happening.

On a second machine with only VS 2005 installed, editing and debuging
is fine.

Not sure what causes this, but I've seen it myself.
The way to get rid of this problem is to create a new solution file. Then,
add each of your projects into the solution file. Delete the old solution
file. When this happened to me, that was all I needed to do. A friend of
mine said that he replaced the project file (by importing each class file)
but not the solution file. One of us has a faulty memory :-) so if you try
one, and it doesn't work, try the other. Post your results, OK?

Hi Cor,

I've been buried under a planning project that is designed to yeild a vision
of the future state of application systems within the common IT
infrastructure of Microsoft. That kind of requirements gathering, modeling,
and project planning effort can be quite difficult, especially when it is
constrained with a fixed deadline (as mine was). The output is immensely
rewarding, but the work is very time consuming.

I may be dropping back off into a book project, so I don't know if I'll be
here that much in the coming months. We shall see.
