Xml Serialization and block="extension"

Expanding the audience (initially posted to
microsoft.public.dotnet.framework.webservices):

Are there any System.Xml.Serialization attributes or is there a way in
the ASMX plumbing to publish (in XSD via WSDL) and enforce (in
dispatch) the xsd:element attribute
block="extension"?

For example,

public class Foo{}
public class Bar : Foo {}

public class Service : WebService {
[WebMethod]
public void Operation1(Foo foo) {}
}

For "Operation1", is there an attribute or some way to specify the
equivalent of <xs:element name="foo" type="Foo" **block="extension"**
/> to make it clear to consumers "Don't ever send me a Bar. I only want

a Foo."

TIA.

Cheers,
~Mork
