Other USB library than #USBLIB?

I've just downloaded the #USBLIB and run demo app. It took so much time
for me to do that because that library was not stand-alone. I had to
search for the native win32 usb library which #USBLIB required. And it
wasn't just a dll but a service that must be INSTALLED. The demo app
showed just the info I need to get. USB device names and manufacturers.
It was good. But the drawback is I have to make my users INSTALL the
native usb library and run the service at background. I guess not many
users would like to do so. Isn't there any other .STAND-ALONE NET USB
library?
