Confused over .Net 2.0 version status and VS 2005

BBM
Is .Net 2.0 still in Beta or has it been released for production?

I know VS 2005 has been released and I assume one must be able to use it
with either .Net 2.0 or 1.1. Correct?

Thanks.

It has been released (final) for over 2 months (since early November).

In addition to what John said, it can only be used with the 2.0 framework.
You need VS 2003 to use the 1.1 framework.

You cannot VS 2005 with .Net 1.1.

VS 2005->.Net 2.0
VS 2003->.Net 1.1
VS 2002->.Net 1.0
