How to share user data from web form and web service

Hi,
I need to share data from a web form and a web service,
in my web application an user can download a word document having a macro
that call a web service to fill the word document.
How can i get information from my web application (such as user name)?
I tried to put a cookie from web form but i cannot read it from WS (the
webmethod is EnableSession:=True but the session is a "new Session")

The WS is in the same web application

i haven't tried this, but check the cookie you write from the form, i am
thinking that if it is a session cookie the browser wouldn't give it to the
web app. try making it a domain cookie instead and see if you can get it
back.
