X509 Certificates

rds
We are developing a smart client application which consumes web services.
The web services are being secured with X509 certificates. During the
development/testing phase we have been using the X509 certificates which ship
with the WSE 2 install. I am interested in knowing from where one purchases
these Client/Servier certificates for commercial use, and pricing options for
the same.
Our initial research into CA vendors e.g. Verisign, GeoTrust, Thawte etc
didn’t really lead us anywhere.
Thanks
rds

> I am interested in knowing from where one purchases
these Client/Servier certificates for commercial use, From trusted CA such as Verisign (the major CA issuer), Thawte
and pricing options for the same. It will very from Vendor to Vendor and from certificate expiration date.
I was able to find pricing info on verysign site, just a few clicks from
their homepage:

You can always Email or call their customer support.

Also you can become your CA and issue certificates to servers and clients,
assuming clients have your root CA as trusted CA certificate.
