Shareware Publishing

What I have been looking for is technical information regarding automated
registration, evaluation period components etc for publishing shareware.

Questions such as.
1. are there already existing services that will maintain software
registration codes so I don’t have to spend a life time maintaining a
registration information?
2. how do I make my application kill itself if one doesn’t register after so
much time?
3. Are there free or for pay install modules that address these issues so I
don’t have to re-invent the wheel?

Etc…

Mostly what I have found is generalities on business practices, not specific
how-to technical answers.

Links would be great!

Thanks

Sean,

I'm working on a shareware project and I just evaluated these three tools:

Infralution Licensing System - http://www.infralution.com/licensing.html
Desaware Licensing System - http://www.desaware.com/products/lic...tem/index.aspx
XHEO Licensing - http://www.dotnetlicensing.com/

I plan on going with Infralution, but Desaware might be a better solution for you. Also, check out
http://www.element5.com. They provide hooks to their ordering system to allow you to generate serial numbers on the fly.
This way you can completely automate the ordering and serial number generation.
