dotnet and XP user account association

I am in search of some help in order to remove my hotmail email notifications
at the Welcome screen. Somehow my .net account has become associated with my
XP account. If i try to remove it from 'Managr My Network Password" the
screen is blank so im not sure how to kill the association or the
notifications. Any help gratefully appreciated, thanks!!!!

If I understand you correctly..
you can't just stop this notification...
what you can do... is change the permission on a registry item. to read only
for you system account...

1. Start Registry Editor (Regedit).
2. Navigate to the following folder in the registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\UnreadMail
3. Right-click the UnreadMail folder, and then click Permissions.
4. Click the System account, and then clck to select the Deny check box for
Full Control.
5. Click OK.
6. Quit Registry Editor.

Or you could just go Control Panel->Users-><Your username> and disassociate
your email address. Note that if you use Windows/MSN Messenger, they will
probably associate the address with your account.
