The underlying connection was closed: The request was canceled

Hello.
I have a .net 1.0 compiled ws proxy that is talking to a axis ws.
There is a rather long method on the webservice that makes the error in
subject appear quite often.
I have tried the many solutions posted to this group to no avail.
I am using
<connectionManagement>
<add address="mapserver1:8080" maxconnection="15" />
<add address="mapserver1" maxconnection="15" />
<add address="piloto1:8080" maxconnection="15" />
<add address="piloto1" maxconnection="15" />
</connectionManagement>
that i saw in a post.

I have overritten the GetWebRequest wsproxy method

Protected Overrides Function GetWebRequest(ByVal uri As System.Uri) As
System.Net.WebRequest
Dim webRequest As System.Net.HttpWebRequest =
CType(MyBase.GetWebRequest(uri), System.Net.HttpWebRequest)
webRequest.KeepAlive = False
webRequest.Timeout = 60000 '1 mins
webRequest.ProtocolVersion =
System.Net.HttpVersion.Version11
Return webRequest
End Function

But still, i get this error a lot of times.
I have also tested the client program in a .net 1.1 box but the problem
still happens.
I dont what else should i do.
Thank you for any suggestion.
