xml as a parameter to a web service

Hi,

I would like to send an XML document as a parameter to an asp.net web
service.

Obviously I could just serialize it and transfer it as a string but that
seems a bit of a waste, given that SOAP is XML already.

is there any simple way to include my own XML as a parameter to a web
service request?

Hi,

you can use the XmlNode or XmlDocument as parameter type of your
webservice method. That will expect the XML instead of the encoded
string.

You can then directy use the XmlNode or XmlDocument methods &
properties.

Hope this helps,

Marvin Smit.
