Web Authentication

Hello!
I have the next code:

Dim sURI, reciever As String
Dim StreamURI As stream
Dim wcClient As New WebClient
Dim sr As StreamReader

sURI = "http://212.116.241.210/pub/news/000-002"

GlobalProxySelection.Select = New WebProxy("http://IPAddress:Port")
GlobalProxySelection.Select.Credentials = New
NetworkCredential("user", "password", "domain")
Try
wcClient.Credentials = New NetworkCredential("user1", "password1")
StreamURI = wcClient.OpenRead(sURI)
Catch ex As WebException
End Try
sr = New StreamReader(StreamURI)
reciever = sr.ReadToEnd()

This code gives WebExeption on *StreamURI = wcClient.OpenRead(sURI)* string
with Additional information: The remote server returned an error: (401)
Unauthorized.
I've tried to point credentials in different forms (user, password,
domain), but didn't work. However it works when i try to access this virtual
folder using Internet Explorer.

What the problem could it be?
Can somebody to direct me?
Thank you.

Hi,

Is this the 401 of the endpoint or the Proxy u'r using?

Have you tried setting up the credentials for the proxy on the
".Proxy.Credentials" of the WebService proxy?

Hope this helps,

Marvin Smit.
