classes used as parameters to a web service

say I have a class like this

namespace MyApp {
Class Person {
public string name;
public int age;
}
}

i.e. the full class name is MyApp.Person

if I make a web service that has a parameter of type Person, and I add a web
reference, Visual Studio generates a class called, say,
Localhost.MyWebService.Person which has exactly the same definition as
MyApp.Person.

When writing the server, I have built a library of utility functions that
manipulate person objects. I would like to be able to use these on the
client too but I can't because the person class is in a different namespace.

In actuality, I have many such classes, and some of them hold references to
each other. I have built a function that uses reflection to copy from one
type to another but I was wondering if there is a simpler way
