Problem with web service that wraps a C++ dll.

I have a third party c++ api dll (no source) and I have wrapped it in a
asp.net web service. I use dllimport("api.dll") to access the api from C#.
The wrapper web service (A) works fine until another unrelated web service
(B) on the same machine is executed. The exception "Object Reference Not Set
To An Instance Of The Object" is thrown in web service A after web service B
has run.

Any ideas?

Does the path to the c++ dll get screwed up or something? I will try
putting an absolute path in the dllimport tomorrow. I have also read on
other forums to put the dll in system32?
