Our automated build uses msdev command line and needs to update web references...

WTH
....is there a way to get the command line build tools to do this?

Anyone build web services clients via the command line (not using make

Thanks,

Well in creating in a web proxy there are two things that must be done.
First a wsdl has to be generated and then finally a web proxy file is
generated from the wsdl.

You can use the .Net Web Services Description Language Tool (wsdl.exe)
to do what you need. Here is a link to it:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...oolWsdlexe.asp

It comes with the .Net framework SDK.

Will do, thanks. I'm going to look into creating a macro for using the
tool.
