Web service request times out...

P: n/a
Stu
Hi,

I am calling a web service from a web page. If the web service has not been
used for a while it occsionally times out with this error
'System.Net.WebException: The operation has timed-out.'.

The line which is reporting the error is 'C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\MyProject\Web
References\TheWebService\Reference.vb:line 42' - code which has been
generated by visual studio. I know that this connection is on a fairly busy
(read slow) adsl link with a fixed ip.

Is there any way of upping the time out on the request for the web service
request?

Thanks in advance,

Stu
