Error upon sending requests to a web service on Windows 2003

I have the following problem:

i have a client (windows service) calling a web service using an 128kbps
connection line. The client will frequently send records of approximately
300KB to the web service. The web service was running on a Windows 2000
Server. Recently the server's operatoring system was upgraded to Windows 2003
Server and after the upgrade the following errors started appearing:

1.Server was unable to read request. --> There is an error in XML document .
--> An unexpected end of file parsing TAG has occurred.

2.The operation has timed-out.

3.The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a
receive.

I tried to increase the connection timeout for the Web Sites entry in IIS to
a larger period in addition to changing the responseDeadLockInterval in the
machine.config and the maxRequestLength value in the web.config file. However
the problem still persists.

Please note that this error doesnt always happen. But sometimes it does and
after retrying to send the failed records, they are sent successfully. This
error never happened when the operating system was Windows 2003 Server

This problem also happens when the upgraded server sends records from its
side to other sites.

Any solutions?
