retriving large dataset via web service

Hi Guys,

I am using a web service to get the item details via a web
service(connceting tru Dial-up). Item details are comming back to the client
as a dataset. now there are lot of updates and the dataset is pretty big. I
tried SOAPExtentions to compress but the compression thing take soo long, if
I didn't use the compress it's taking less time. :) anyway is there any way
to speed up the process ?

Thanks,

Hello Sniper,

Two options... Try and get compression to work (I've seen that it works
pretty well) or second try and return an array of item detail domain objects
that are xml serializable instead of a dataset
