WebServiceHandlerFactory...

Hi All..

Web Service requests are handled by WebServicesHandlerFactory http handler
(as configured in machine.config). The factory creates and returned one of
the following:

SyncSessionHandler,
SyncSessionlessHandler,
AsyncSessionHandler,
AsyncSessionlessHandler

Would any one know what factors go into determining which handler to create.
What is special to each handler?

Thanks

Hello ashoksrini,
As the name suggests, if the enable session is true in the web service,
your session handlers are called. The Async handlers are called if you explicitly
design your web service to be async i.e if you have a ws called Multiply,
you explicitly write BeginMultiply and EndMultiply using the Async pattern

Thanx Dilip,

For Async when you mean "write BeginPultiply, EndMultiply", are you
referring to implementing them explicitly on the server? I would think this
has nothing to do with the ASync pattern used in Client Proxy? Is that right?

Hello ashoksrini,

Yes absolutely right. Your server can choose to be an asynchronous processor
of requests
