XPath Problem

What does dotnet keep throwing a error here? This is a valid xpath
expression but the error says "Expression must evaluate to a node-set."

channelsXml.SelectSingleNode
( "./feed/@id='" + rssID.ToString () + "'" );
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
<rsssubscribedchannels>
<feed id="0">
<label>Just In</label>
<uri>http://rss.news.yahoo.com/rss/topstories</uri>
</feed>
<feed id="1">
<label>Daily Recipies</label>
<uri>http://rss.allrecipes.com/2/3.xml</uri>
</feed>

You should put the condition @id='xxx' in [].

string xPath = String.Format("feed[@id='{0}']", rssID);
XmlNode feedNode = channelsXml.SelectSingleNode(xPath);
