Webclient help

I have, traditionally, been a Wndows programmer and very new to Web stuff. I
have salespeople who are running a dotnet Windows application that they use
to transfer information from their local instances of SQL Server to our main
server at the home office through an internet connection. They also have jpgs
and pdfs regarding product they are selling which is available from a Web
url. I need to check for updates to these files and download any updated
files. I am looking at the System.Net.Webclient to do the file transfer but
not sure as to how to check for file attributes such as file size and last
modified date. Can anyone get me on the right track with this?

Any help is appreciated!
Thanks,
-Dave
