2005 Questions

Bob
My team is about to pick a language/platform to develop a brand new WEB
application. Seeing all the hype on the new Visual Studio 2005, I've
suggested that we go with this technology. As such, I have some questions
concerning the various flavors of Visual Studio 2005.

Suppose I have 4 developers:

- one developer uses Visual Studio 2005 Standard Edition
- one developer uses Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition
- two developers use the Visual Studio 2005 Express Edition

Can all of them contribute to the *SAME* web project using their version of
Visual Studio 2005? Can I use Visual SourceSafe 2005 to maintain this
project?

Lastly, can a project (written entirely with the Express Edition) be used in
the Professional Edition, and vice versa?

Thank You!

You can use Express Version to do so. But the functions is limited. I suggest
you use some Express Versions for common careers and one or two Pro/Std
Version for advanced.
