Question about the VS 2005 editions

The 2003 product line, had the standard editions, you could only work with
one single language, but, ASP.NET AND windows forms development was possible,
and it wasn't that dumbed down.

The price for a std edition: around 100$

Sadly, there isn't a true successor to those editions in the 2005 product
line. There is a standard edition, but it costs 300$, although it supports
now more than one language.

The successors to the 2003 standard editions seem to be the express
editions, but they look too dumbed down, and you can't make a web app in a c#
express edition, you need the web developer thing for that.

web developer express costs 50$, one of the single language express edition
(with winform support) cost 50$.. if you buy web developer + single language
express pack (all together 100$, same price as the old 2003 std's), how well
do they integrate? Would a combination of c# express editon and web developer
edition have around the same feature set as the old 2003 visual c# standard
edition?

If not.. can you buy the upgrade of VS 2005 std, 200$, as compared to 300$
for the full version
(http://msdn.microsoft.com/howtobuy/v...tions/stdexp/), if you have one
of the single language 2003 std editions?

I can't believe it's taking so long to get an answer about this...... well,
I guess I can because I tried to find out for you and it's nearly impossible
to find a document that shows a list of eligible products. Since you bought
VS (any edition) though, I have to assume you're eligible for the upgrade
price.
