What are RptProj, rdl and rds files ?

Hello,
We have project files in .Net with the extensions as
xxx.rptproj , xxx.rptproj.user, xxx.sln , yyy.rdl, yyy.rdl.data and zzz.rds
files

I would like to know what are these files and what type of project it is. I
tried to open in VS.Net and Visual studio but did not open. Do i need to
install some utilities etc..? please give me information about these
projects and its usage.

Thanks,
santhosh.

That is a SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services Project. The xxx.rptproj is
the project (similar to xxx.vbproj), the xxx.rdl are the reports, and the
xxx.rds are data sources.
