Missing icons for installed products when IDE loads

Hi all,
I hope this isn't a symptom of something more serious, but when I start
Visual studio 2003, the icons that used to be shown underneath
"installed products from the visual studio family" are now missing and
there's just an empty space.

Is there a fix for this?

Thanks
Andrew

Hi Andrew,

I'm not sure how this happened, but have you tried reparing your
installation?

Hi Carsten
I just tried to repar my installation, but this failed. Here is the log
file

[10/11/05,14:06:52] setup.exe: [2] ISetupComponent::Pre/Post/Install()
failed in ISetupManager::InstallManagerHelper()
[10/11/05,14:06:52] setup.exe: [2] Component error string not specified
in ISetupManager::AddToActionResultCollection()

Sigh.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Andrew

Well, I did a search and it seems this setup error is quite common. Perhaps
this will get you going?
