Blue Squares on side of VSS.NET

the left side of VS.NET -- in the same place were the brown circles that
represent breakpoints are.

What do these represent?

I can't remove them!

They're bookmarks.

From the menu: Edit -> Bookmarks -> Clear Bookmarks.

Or, Ctrl + K, Ctrl + L.
