Processing time

I am developing a program that generates a report in MS Word, it seems to me
that the same code works faster in a small utility rather than part of a
bigger executeable (about 5m) is that possible and if yes I may have to
separate it from the program

Thank you in advance,

Shmuel,

Anything is possible. You need to profile the application to see
what's taking so long before you can make decisions on what needs to be
changed or improved.

I have used DevPartner Profiler Community Edition in the past. It's
not the greatest, but it is free and integrates well with VS.NET.
