I have an application which requires an embedded windows form (fairly
complicated) in a browser. The solution requires that I use a strong name on
the assemblies (same sn for all of them) so that I can easily configure the
security for it so it is viewable in the browser.
I did that, then deployed the control to a test machine. I set (in the
enterprise node) a new child under the All_Code group and set it for the
appropriate strong name and gave it full trust (for the moment just to get it
to work). It did not work. I then marked the All_Code under the enterprise
node so that no policies below it would be evaluated. It still did not work.
Under this condition any control should have worked. This is on the same
machine as the website and I'm accessing it via http://localhost/etc.
This same code works on my home domain. I am guessing this has something to
do with an enterprise policy. I need to have a solution to this so I can
start rolling out (and letting others roll out) .NET solutions in this
fashion (otherwise we have to use Java which is just not acceptable to me).
I am available to bring my laptop up to Redmond if necessary as this is
fairly critical.
If I should escalate this, please let me know.
Thanks!
