"Unspecified Error" when copying project in VS.NET 2003

When I perform "Copy Project" in VS.NET 2003 sometimes I got "Unspecified
Error" error in a pop-up.

My colleague also has this problem.

Is it something to do with the network or to do with SourceSafe?

Thanks

Hi joseph,

Do mean that sometimes the Copy Project process failes with "Unexpected
Error", while sometimes it works fine?

If so, please

1. Check if the server name is correct, and the server has IIS installed
properly.
2. If you have a large asp.net app to copy, please check if the network is
good.

HTH.

I have this problem when I use "FrontPage" as the web access method to copy.
No such problem when using "File Share". I suspect there's something wrong
with the setup of my Frontpage extension on my server.

My server is using IIS6 with FrontPage Server Extension 2002 installed on a
Windows 2003 Server Standard Ed with sp1.

Thanks
Joseph

Hi joseph,

Would you try to remove the FPSE on the machine and install it again?
