Formatting a GridView

Hello,

I am a longtime ASP Classic guy, and I am new to .NET. I am hoping
someone can help me with what is probably a simple question.

I have a stored procedure that returns 5 rows from a database. I would
like to display the results as such:

DATE
Text

Date
Text

Date
Text

Using a GridView, I can output the text; however, how do I make the
date as the header text?

Generally, I am confused as how one would format and place data in
..NET. Everything is generated automatically by the Framework.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you!
