How should MSMQ be installed

Hi,
I am trying to understand the MSMQ in order to use it in my project. I see
there are tyo types clients and server. My app is broken down on three tier.
Web Server, Service Comp serer and database server. Where do I have to
install the MSMQ? Do I need to install the client on the Web Server and then
MSMQ Server on the domain controller and then have my service component poll
MSMQ on the domain controller. Is that how it should be done?
