Searching for code

Hi,
can someone remind me how to change the windows XP search to include code
files as well as text files and documents etc.

I'm sure there was a knowledge base article about changing the registry or
filter but can't find it now.

Thanks

Hi,

First of all, I would like to confirm my understanding of your issue. From
your description, I understand that you need to know that you need to find
a KB article to modify a registry key to change the file types that the
windows search can find. If there is any misunderstanding, please feel free
to let me know.

Based on my understanding, you might be referring to the following KB
article.

http://support.microsoft.com/Default.aspx?kbid=309173

HTH.

BTW, for windows xp question, you can also post in
microsoft.public.windowsxp newsgroups. There will be more professionals
help you there.
