Question on Service Controller

Want to develop a component/app that performs like a Windows Service Service
Controller. Basically I am interested in the methods and events of a service
controller to be implemented in an application. This application is going to
be like a mediator/controller for many other subscribing applications
Do you think its a good idea to inherit
System.ServiceProcess.ServiceController?
