HELP : How to Display pooling data correctly ???

Dear all,

I need to display in my application incoming data from an external source
which is pooled every 2 seconds.

Thos data actually are displaye in a listbox control, but the problem I have
is that the amount of item data in this list can be a lot, like more that
3000.
As I am not able to identify from the pooling source if incoming data is
already exsting in the list, I refresh the listbox in order top match.

When when refreshinh the list box with an omount of data up to 3000 is
slowing down my all system dramatically.

The idea is that as soon as new data are coming I should see it diplayed
automatically in the control. Does a binding will fullfill that requirement
without the need of a Control.Refresh call. ?

Do you have any idea about an other way ?
Should I use a kind of dataset ?

Thnaks for your help
regards
