Professional courtesy and feedback requested

I hope you are all doing well.

I have a website that I've created and I'm wondering if I can ask for
some feedback on it. The program is for order taking for restaurants.

I'd like to have some comments on it. But pleez don't tell me it needs
more graphics!!!

The User ID is bambino and the Password is bino (it is case sensitive).

I'd like to hear your comments on performance, ease of use, and any
other topic you choose. Please don't prove your un-professionalism by
making up dumb-ass criticisms. OK?

If you like the program then tell your local restaurant owners and
cafeteria managers...if you think it sucks then tell me and especially
tell me why.

I really like the admin interface. It seems to run quickly, and the
layout is fairly intuitive. The help text beside some of the items
could use a little work. I am not sure that the instructions are
always clear.

The interface for placing orders, on the other hand, I don't really
like. Also, although it is a neat trick to make the order form full
screen, I really hate when web pages "take over" my desktop. I believe
it is always better to let the user decide how they want to view the
page. The look of the order form is nice, it appears to be similar to
an actual menu, which makes it easier to use.

Finally, I would have someone proofread all your pages before you demo
this to a potential customer. Just going through it briefly, I found a
bunch of typos that makes it a bit less professional looking.

Also, many users are not as sophisticated as you...that's why I did the
screen "full screen"....I made a few decisions that would agravate
someone like yourself because I am worried about lesser-experienced
users......OK? Given that...would you "look the other way" to my design
decisions?

I would give it a B+ looking at it as a Beta software. If it were
production, I would grade it lower. You have all the functionality
there, the page just needs to be polished some. I personally stink at
making pages look good, but I can make them run correctly.

As far as the full-screen issue, I would at least put an easy way to
"escape" from the fullscreen for people who don't want fullscreen, but
don't want to exit. Possibly tie this setting to a cookie, so when a
user comes back, they don't have to escape it again. However, this is
a design question that can really only be answered by you, since I
don't know your customer base as you do. If I were a user of your
ordering system, it wouldn't annoy me enough to never come back, but I
would sigh whenever I placed an order. :)

"just lay there like a dead fish" look of my screen!!!

I really do!!!

You see, the people I hope will use this are people like
yourself......and I absolutely DON'T want you to look at my screen and
admire it! Because YOU ARE AT WORK......I want you to come and use it
and get the hell out!!!! So your boss doesn't say "block that URL on
the network!"

Aha! There is some logic here after all.

What do you mean by "escape". You exit the screen with the "Exit" link.

Have you ever been the recipient of a 'help-desk' phone call from an
'unsophisticated' user when a web page like this appears on their PC?

They go into panic mode and insist that someone visit them immediately to
disinfect their PC of whatever virus has obviously been installed from this
web page.

As a 'sophisticated' user, my reaction to such a web page is to close it
immediately and add that site to my 'never visit again' list. There is
nothing more likely to alienate a 'surfer' than a site that doesn't play
nicely.
