Can we decide when a control loads?

I have a tree control that displays a list of all pages in Microsoft CMS and
an user can delete that page by clicking on the node which populates a
textbox with the node value.
When the user clicks the submit button, I call the delete function. But
the tree control loads before the deletion, so the page that I just deleted
still shows! I have to refresh the tree again manually. Can someone suggest
what can be done?

Thanks
V
