.NET Framework SDK 1.1 install fails

As I was installing .NET Framework SDK 1.1 it said it could not create folder
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET
2003\SDK\v1.1\QuickStart\howto\samples\assemblies. It the gave me no choice
but to quit. So it was not installed. I tried deleting this folder in
Explorer and CMD but it won't let me. It says: Data error (cyclic redundancy
check). What should I do now?

Hi..

Try restarting your machine and then do it again. Also make sure that you
remove "read" access from folder properties.

Hi Naveen,

I tried that (in safe mode even) and it still wouldn't delete. I was able
to rename samples to samples1 and then did the install succesfully. If you
hear of any way to delete a folder with a crc error let me know. Thanks.

This might be a silly answer, but only administrators can install .NET
framework, make sure that the user is one.
