Howto: redirect input to a queue.from a USB barcode reader

Hi,

I have a USB Keyboard Wedge Barcode Scanner.

The problem: I need to pre-validate the incoming information as per
following (staff, member, product), so I can't let the scanner just populate
data anywhere into this application.

I could really use a hand on this, considering I have been researching for 4
hours on howto capture the data directly from the USB HiD device....

Thanks in advance.
