using SaveAs when passing path from html form

okay, very simple detail.... I have an HTML form which one field is a type of
"file". I am passing the value of this "file" input via a hidden form field
to an aspx page.

Can i save the file to a directory under the site by just knowing the client
location of the file? i mena can this be done without using a server control?
If not I have to rewrite an entire form "ghost from the past" in .net and
submit this way...

any input?
