Tracing

hello all...

I have the following app.config

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
<configuration>
<system.diagnostics>
<switches>
<add name="TraceLevelSwitch" value="1" />
</switches>
</system.diagnostics>
</configuration>

add the following console app

using System;
using System.Diagnostics;

public class Tracing {
public static void Main() {

TraceSwitch objGeneralSwitch = new TraceSwitch("TraceLevelSwitch", "Trace
Level Switch");

Trace.Listeners.Add(new TextWriterTraceListener(Console.Out));

}
}

when I execute then app I get the following error

An unhandled exception of type 'System.Configuration.ConfigurationException'
occurred in system.dll

Additional information: Unrecognized element

Trace.Listeners.Add(new TextWriterTraceListener(Console.Out));

Thanks for you help...

Bob
