I'm having a problem with the VS.NET IDE (VB.NET) -- if I create a
class/module in a project (in a solution) it is saved in my project root
dir -- not a problem so far.
However, if I decide that I want to move this class/module to my "shared"
project (basically houses my common classes/modules used by many other
projects) there doesn't appear to be any way to do this reliably?
I've tried the following
1. Within IDE: Remove Myclass from project X
2. From Explore: Move the Myclass.vb file from project x root directory to
my Common shared project Y root directory
3. Within IDE: "Add existing item..." to Project X and using the MyClass.vb
file now in project Y root directory
Result, I have a copy of MyClass.vb back in the project X root directory??
I've also tried (step 3) "Add Existing item..." and using the Open - Link
approach but I still get the exact same results?
I'm really confused, what is going on with VS.NET IDE?
How are you folks managing to move a class/module out of one
project/solution and into another?
Rob.
