new MCP / MCAD for whidbey??

Does anyone know of any plans to update the MCP / MCAD
track when whidbey comes out.
I am due to do either MCP's or MCAD using C# but don't
want to find that these exams will be retired by the end of
the year and then have to do them again.

cheers

No Idea - many would like to know but there seems to be very
little real information.

IIRC exam retirements are usually announced 12 months in
advance. Note that for SQL Server MS has maintained exams
for multiple versions of the software in parallel - so if
there are separate .NET 1/2 exams they might actually run in
parallel for a while. Currently it is not clear whether
there will be new exams or whether the test banks will
simply be updated. Entirely new exams, if they should be
issued at all, may not be available for 12 months (or
longer) after public release of the product (based on new
exams in the past). New exams will usually become available
within 6 months after they are officially announced,
depending on the results with the beta exams.

Once you achieve a level of certification it remains valid
even after the exams are retired.

So the current consensus seems to be: Get started now if you
can, otherwise you'll be waiting forever.
