What is the best method to use so that user sessions remain active unless he
either logs off, or closes his browser? I see many sites that have this
functionality, and it's more user-friendly to me.
If storing sessions InProc, obviously each active session would take up RAM.
And if this is stored indefinitely, that would be trouble. So, how can this
be done?
I'm guessing the way would be to store the session in the SQL Server, and
with each client access to the site, their session (from cookie) would be
checked against the value in the database. However wouldn't this be quite a
bit of overhead, and require recoding on all pages?
