PictureBox, Images and modifying them and keeping the modification

Hello everyone

I really have 2 questions, so here goes

I have a picturebox, with a Paint event where I modify the image (it's a
gif) using e.graphics.DrawLine().....

The line draws correctly....

Now the fun part begins...

The paint event refires (after I call an invalidate command) in a timer
control.

The image restores to the original format -- loseing all my changes

I have tried to use the following

e.Graphics.save at the end of the paint event but that does not seem to work

Thanks for your help

Corey
