User Controls embeded inside user controls and deeper

Hello everyone,

I have an event the kicks off from way down inside a user control. It is 4-5
levels deep, i.e. me.parent.parent.parent.parent.parent is the main form. The
event needs to be able to reference the value in a text box almost as deeply
embeded inside another control. How do I get to that control? I tried going
down from me.parentform but I run into problems when i hit a user control and
VB.NET doesn't recognize it as a windows control. I also tried going up via
me. parent.parent etc, but am having the same problem.

How do I make my way up through the controls in which my event is embedded
and down inside another control?
