security zone for linux network drive

Hi,

First my system(s):
We want to migrate one server from NT 4.0 to Linux (small company).
Clients are NT + XP.
The application is .NET 1.0 and all clients run 1.0 SP3.

A network drive contains a .NET application. At the beginning I had to
change intranet security to allow all, and than it ran without any problems.
But after changing the path from the drive from the Windows to the Linux
server (both containing the same data in the share) I get this known
security exception. After some minutes I found out, that the Linux network
drive is given into the internet zone instead of the intrantet. But why?
A workaround would be to allow everything in internet zone, but I dont want
to do this.
Even adding the application to the trusted one doesnt help if the app is on
the linux server.
Both shares are writeable and the problem and workaround is both on a NT 4.0
SP6a and a XP SP1 workstation.

Someone knows the answer? Why does Windows/.NET differentiate between a
Linux based network drive and a Windows based?
