ASP to .Net migration project

Hi,

Do you consider CSHARP as THE language to be used for an ASP to .Net
migration project.

ASP .Net seems a "natural" choice but as .Net is "language neutral"
and CSHARP is positioned as THE native language
we are requesting some help/advice.

Many Thanks.

IMO yes.

My rationale is based on the need to master client-side JavaScript for web development. Both C# and JavaScript are nearly exact syntactically and grammatically. Thus, learning one language can be said to be learning two for the price of one. Actually, we get to learn three languages for the price of one as the same rationale applies to Java too.

Thus adopting C# is simply good common sense that IMO outweighs all of the otherwise generally sound arguements about the .NET Framework being language neutral.

Finally, observing the emergence of new technology via research.microsoft.com also indicates the growing use of C# in state-of-the-art development.

Those are my opinions and insights that motivated me to switch from VB to C#.
