MSN TV?

I used to develop sites to ensure they were accessible to WebTV users when
the client's typology warranted doing so. I haven't done much with that type
of customer lately. With December 31, 2006 looming closer and closer a
search of the web proves the digital TV device market is heating up. For
those that are not aware, that date is when all analog television
broadcasting must by U.S. law be broadcast digitally.

With MSN TV [1] for developers showing its last update as April 2003 it
gives me the "what the hell" response primarily because there are plenty of
articles that discuss at least briefly how Microsoft is doing this or that
with regard to digital TV; an 'era' which I contend will usher in a wave of
business activity that could eclipse the dot com era.

Thought and comments?

And here's another: The webtv sdk did kinda drift off, but here's a place
for somewhat related dev information that's a bit more up to date than April
2003:

Thank you. Reading the Slate article reminded me how f*cked the U.S. remains
but it is still an interesting presumtionto consider a website may be
available to people in other nations who have deployed HDT as that's what I
am trying to confirm or determine where that trend may be headed.
