.NET Framework User adoption

Is anyone aware of any stats on the number of users that have the .NET
framework installed? Additionally, is the framework installed by default with
the most current version of XP, IE, or service packs?

Thanks -

Hi altonjw,

I can't say anything about the number of users with .net, but to my
knowledge framework isn't installed by default unless you have windows
2003. I believe the latest Windows XP is still the 2002 version and none
of the other upgrades or service packs causes framework to be installed.
(Not sure about Windows XP 64bit)
