lost events

From time to time I experience the phenomenon of dissearing links to
eventhandlers.

e.g. I have
this.btnSave.Click += new System.EventHandler(this.btnSave_Click);

Pretty straightforward. However, after some time, this line of code gets
lost, all by it self !! (gets more weird when it happens for the
this.load-event). My colleagues have experienced the same phenomenon.
Searching the internet didn't give me any more insight.

Anyone who knows why this is happening and how to prevent this ?

Typical projects with this behaviour are also using Crystal Reports 10 and
Visual Sourcesafe 6.0d.
