Writting an IMS Connect client with .NET

Hello,

I am evaluating the possibilities offered by .NET to write an IMS
Connect Client (http://www-306.ibm.com/software/data...sconnect.html).
Here is a schema of the architecture.
|----------------------------------|
| MAINFRAME |
| |
|------------------| TCP/IP | |-------------| XCF |-----| |
| Client .NET App. | <--------+>| IMS Connect | <-----> | IMS | |
|------------------| | |-------------| |-----| |
| |
| |
|----------------------------------|

My final objective is to write a client application that will be
able to send a query to IMS Connect and will map the response to a
readonly DataSet component. Is this an easy task with .NET?
Implementations of IMS Connect clients exist on C, Java, COBOL and
Assembler but yet I haven't found any on .NET. Do you know of such
implementations?
